The race’s mission is to provide an opportunity for people of all ages to enjoy a fun, healthy Thanksgiving activity together, and to raise support for eighteen local nonprofits listed on the Trot’s Beneficiary Page.

A huge crowd of excited Trot participants pouring in from surrounding neighborhoods as they make their way to the starting line in front of the Lyon Park Community Center. This is the Race For Arlington, By Arlington.

Celebrating 20 Years of Running for a Cause
Now proudly hosted by Arlington Bridge Builders, the Arlington Turkey Trot is celebrating its 20th anniversary of bringing the community together in support of local nonprofits. Since its founding, the Trot has raised over $1 million thanks to the incredible generosity of the Arlington community.

All net proceeds from the race are donated directly to our nonprofit partners, listed on our Beneficiaries Page, with additional support from our generous sponsors helping to make sustainable impact in Arlington.

We have a great mix! Some Trotters are lightning fast, while others enjoy a relaxed stroll through the course. It’s a family-friendly event that welcomes all paces. We simply ask that our speedier participants line up toward the front to keep things running smoothly.
